The power hierarchy

Subordinates are made to feel as though their inferiority is normal and necessary for an organization to function. Subordinates believe that they are supposed to be controlled by the group above them and they don't resist because it feels so normal, that is the idea of hegemony.

Emancipation is the idea when subordinate groups are freed from unnecessary power relationships, hegemony and controlling ideas. While, I believe that the hierarchy is necessary in order for a lot of companies to function, the idea of emancipation can give agency and a sense of freedom to the traditionally controlled groups (subordinates).
